Winterkäfer

Yesterday I visited a friend of me who is building up my beetle for the upcoming winter. For a little bit more safety he will change the brakesystem to a two circuit system. For the same reason I have choosen the tires: 135/15 front and 205/70 in the back. I hope the beetle will be ready next week, as the winter is here already.

Found this example of a 'tasteful change' for sale on the samba homepage. The price is only 250000 THB (around 4750.-EUR). If you always wanted to have a one-off-a-kind Ghia, this should be your choise.

Fontanagrey

As you can see I changed the color of the background. This is just to intruduce my ride for the upcoming winterseason. A 66 Fontanagrey beetle. It will have only a few modifications: Narrowed and lowered front, wooden steering wheel, Empi-shifter, T-bars and new BRM repros.


It is the grey one, not the nice beetle on the left!!!

Dragracing with Mexx

Two weeks ago we went to Hungary with our fastest local Karmann driven by 'Mexx'.

Unfortunatly the 'NOS' bottle was empty due to an leaking valve! So he has to go with only about 220HP instead of around 450HP!! (This car has done a 10sec run before!!)


Some motorcycle riders scared me by srewing down the fork with one!! 10mm threaded rod and doing 10sec runs in jeans and sneakers. Luckily nobody was hurt.
