1954 Oval Bug

Yesterday I made a testdrive with this 1954 Oval Bug. Everything is original and works fine. But I think it would work and look much better, if you slam and rim it. And ofcourse you have to change the original 30HP engine!

Just imagine you get a nice model of a hotrod Karmann Ghia. And you are so impressed that you want to build it in real.

Flower Power Classic

Today I made a short visit to the Floer Power Classic.
I was surpriced to see Andi‘s Type34 on 17'' Fuchs Repros.


The surprise got bigger when I realised that my own Type34 was on the official flyer and poster of the event:

Yesterday we were at the Youngtimer Meeting held in Krems near Vienna. For me the best car was this Resto-Cal Beetle:

This weekend I visited my brother in Wiesbaden (Germany). A very nice city, with lots of old buildings, but only a few old cars driving around.

This was the only old Volkswagen that I've seen there:

But I found this handpainted old advertising for a local VW-Dealer,

including the very nice headline: 'Alle drei von bester Rasse'

My first Bus...

On Tuesday I had my last working day as storemanager of the 2Rad-Börse-Center motorcycle-shop.
My colleagues made me a very nice leaving present that you can see in the pics below.
