'Alle drei von bester Rasse'

This weekend I visited my brother in Wiesbaden (Germany). A very nice city, with lots of old buildings, but only a few old cars driving around.

This was the only old Volkswagen that I've seen there:

But I found this handpainted old advertising for a local VW-Dealer,

including the very nice headline: 'Alle drei von bester Rasse'

('All three from the best breed')

Bert Knupp hat gesagt…: This advertising line was used by VW in the late fifties and early sixties. I own a postcard -- mailed by me from Mainz to a sister in the USA -- with the girl/dog/car picture and "Alle drei von bester Rasse" caption.
