The Split Bug of Christian Theissl from Styria is in the current issue of UltraVW. This car is really awesome. Maybe some of you have seen it at EBI 1 in Chimay. Greetings from Vienna to Styria! Hope we do a little bit of cruising next year.
Just found a very nice homepage about old VW tuning. If you always wanted to know more about Hegglin or TDE click headline and enjoy. Text is german but I think you will have fun watching all the pics and old ads. There are also some nice downloads.
Yesterday I visited a friend of me who is building up my beetle for the upcoming winter. For a little bit more safety he will change the brakesystem to a two circuit system. For the same reason I have choosen the tires: 135/15 front and 205/70 in the back. I hope the beetle will be ready next week, as the winter is here already. (Click headline to visit Franz-Joseph's homepage)
As there is a new function on 'blogger.com' I just wanted to test it. Please vote for the choise of wheels for the next season. After the end of the voting I will let you know if I agree with your choise. Have fun.
Found this example of a 'tasteful change' for sale on the samba homepage. The price is only 250000 THB (around 4750.-EUR). If you always wanted to have a one-off-a-kind Ghia, this should be your choise.
As you can see I changed the color of the background. This is just to intruduce my ride for the upcoming winterseason. A 66 Fontanagrey beetle. It will have only a few modifications: Narrowed and lowered front, wooden steering wheel, Empi-shifter, T-bars and new BRM repros.
It is the grey one, not the nice beetle on the left!!! Stay tuned.
